Two completed projects!

The first is a pair of Snicket Socks, though I did the heel and toe differently than the pattern calls for because I'm not fond of short rows. They have an interesting sort of chicken-wire look to me, though it's certainly very soft pretty chicken wire.

The second is Endpaper Mitts for [livejournal.com profile] shumashi, in her traditional Not-Matching style, though they actually don't match even more than they're supposed to, which I'm rather embarrassed about. So maybe they're not completed after all. Also, I find it interesting to look at the patterns - in both of them, the dark brown looks to me like the "pattern", and the light rose-brown is the "background". Does it look like that to other people?

Sure, I'm easily talkable into putting projects on my queue. (It can take a while for me to actually *get* to something, of course. And I think I should do the gloves for [livejournal.com profile] rifmeister first to get the hang of gloves a little better - I understand socks pretty clearly, but gloves (well, mostly the thumb gusset) are still a little alien, and the mermaid pattern is kind of "And then, put in a thumb, the way it looks like.")

Cool!! Put me on the queue. And I can see how doing a pair of gloves first is a good idea.

Also I was looking at the endpaper mitts. I think if the ribbing matched. I think the rose, they would look more like pair. Although maybe that is too matchy for shumasi. I do think they look like they go together though.
