Semi-Winter Accessories
These are the remnants of a Christmas project. If I hadn't gotten sick and sat around like a lump all week, I probably would have finished them before I left. Now, the question is whether or not they should wait to be a *next* Christmas present! That might be a little mean. :)
I picked the original headband pattern because it had a cool-looking felted flower, but the pattern ended up being (once I got it) "knit a square, felt it, cut out the petals". I was hoping for something more interesting, and then my version was a little too flopsy. Maybe I didn't felt it enough. So I replaced it with a crochet rose, which is cute and I will have to remember for later.

Can you point me to where you got the crochet rose directions? I need to make one for our calorimetries. I made one for Sara (and it isn't strong enough to hold her hair back, sigh) and then made a pink one for Juliette. I left the extra button holes in. (the short rows didn't call for wrapping) on the theory that I could make some flowers and attach buttons to them and then they could be removable or changeable. I think I have a book on crocheted flowers, I may have to check that one out. (they were of the more complicated but interesting variety)
